I kind of feel like we missed something with you not showing Molly being dismissed. Like, I had to remind myself what had happened. I'm sure that, had I read the chapters consecutively, it wouldn't have been a problem.
I'm curious as to how these women are all going to meet again and work together, if that's even your plan, or if this is going to be more of a "Six Degrees" kind of thing.

Well that was unfair. Molly's boss put her in that situation, and she was in no position to refuse. This story is set during the time of Jack the Ripper isn't it?
Author's Response: It is, and that will be significant later on as well.

Daddy has been caught in the act!
Author's Response: Imagine the scandal!!!!!!!!!

Aw Shez, you always make my skin crawl when you start out with these chapters with the prostitutes.
It makes me very concerned for Jessie and her special benefactor. I am very worried.
Of course now it looks like this benefactor has also created a rift between Vyvyan and Jessie. I have it in my mind that Vyvyan is such a gentle soul, I want to take care of him. Like me you have a soft spot for the sweet men too, as well as the strict. LOL
I feel horrible for poor Molly and I am so annoyed with Florence. She really is quite spoilt and self-centered. I think you have drawn her perfectly though, because that is exactly what she would be if she had grown up so indulged the way she has. Back to Molly though, I hope she can get a job. Women were so ill treated in those days.
Lovely chapter my dear!
Author's Response: Poor Vyvyan; Jessie is actually very much the stronger character of the two.

Well, now, poor Molly, whatever will she get up to now? Thanks for sharing!
Author's Response: Molly has an interesting, if difficult, road ahead of her.

Florence, yesterday when I was searching for your muff,
Is it very wrong that this still makes me giggle? I am a child.
Author's Response: I was kind of snurking when I wrote that. I love the way words change meanings - and I was really tempted to call Molly Fanny as well, but resisted that one, lol.

Chapters 4 to 11
All caught up and completely in awe (once again!) of your incredible talent for weaving such engrossing stories.
It is stunning how easily I get lulled into a false security and how surprised anew I am with each section that involves those prostitutes. Now I fear for Jessie's life...
Author's Response: Thanks for reading and reviewing - there is danger ahead for quite a few characters, I fear.

Ah, the old Victorian attitudes toward discovering people having sex... an amusing way to end the chapter.
Author's Response: It's the whole repressed illicit attitude to sex that turns me on about this era, I must admit.

Aw poor Molly. I feel for her, holding up Florence’s dresses wishing she was a fine lady. And Sir Rupert is such a dirty dog, hounding her all the time. To be honest I would find that absolutely intolerable. I can’t imagine an employer having such a hold over you. I remember reading about Samuel Pepys doing that all the time to his maids. It really must have been horrible!
I really thought Lord Hunter-Fox was going to propose to Florence in the library, but now he just wants to warn her about Alex. Somehow I don’t think Florence will listen to him.
Now the end of this chapter is tragic. Molly has been ruined. :(

UUuuurrrgh for Lord Hunter Foxe....Nasty man Flossie is better off with Alex...
Shame the same can't be said for Molly with Rupert. The poor girl.
Author's Response: Aha, wait and see...some of the characters may not be what they seem....rnrnRupert is definitely bad for Molly though, sadly.

I am really enjoying this. I love your imagery and your complete, well rounded, human characters. I always look forward to reading more of your writing and would love for you to post other things as well!

You know I think Florence needs somebody like Lord Hunter-Fox. After all, he’s the only one who tells her when she’s being rude. LOL
He sounds like he has a lovely place too.
I feel so bad about Molly. She really is in-between a rock and a hard place. I think only someone like Jessie can help her get out of it too.
Alex has a lot of nerve showing up like he did. I guess he’s determined to win Florence over. Now you have me all curious about what kind of scandal is going to occur.
I love it Shez! This is one of my favorite stories! :D
Author's Response: Yes, Lord Hunter-Fox is stuffy, but he has got Florence pegged all right.

I've been saving up to read a few chapters at once and its so worth it! positivly victorian Jane Austin, but with hot smut, fabulous
Author's Response: Glad you're liking it!

What a charmer that Alex is. No wonder
Florence got the vapours.
I'm feeling sorry for Molly. When her 'lover' drops her it will be hard.
You got me gripped...I'm forever checking for new chapters
Author's Response: Hope you've found the next one! Molly has some hard times ahead, I'm sorry to say (but she'll come through them).

i am so glad that i figured out where the rest of this story was located!
i'm SavPixie from aff.net.
this is such a neat story, although i'm not sure i think much of florence yet, i really like molly and i'm glad to see she'll have a happy ending because when i read about her and her master i was kind of worried. she seems to have very little idea of what could happen to her if it all goes wrong... jessie and florence both kind of have a safety net, but molly is on her own. i like jessie, too, she's so wildly womanly and in contrast from your usual characters, or even the characters you usually get in stories like these... she's a real person as well as being interested in things that are "deviant" sexually. and i like that she's not one of those "victim" women. she's not put upon at all, she does everything she does of her own free will and that's appealing. (sorry, but i've been reading "slammerkin" which promised a young lady who was independent but chose to be a prostitute on the dust jacket and then didn't deliver.) and i happen to know she'll be a favorite of someone i know who likes redheaded girls, and will eat up the scary nobleman with strange tastes part, so i sent this on to him.
Author's Response: Hellooo, I'm so glad you found me! The female characters have lots of challenges ahead of them (and yes, once of Florence's is to be a nicer person) - I hope you and your friend continue to enjoy their adventures.
