Whoops, forgot to rate and repost to correct my spelling "____"
eee Scary Bear Hair I doubt my hypothesis is correct (didn't he die?) and not exactly sure what liberty's reply wink meant! Agree with Florence's impishness - I think she is naturally impudent and even more so to be punished. And they do make a good couple, though I hope Flo works on HF.
Want to know how Jessie/Molly/Alex (actually, no, just if he's turned over a new leaf with his female emancipation). Forgot to add how lovely the previous chapter's scene between Jess and Vvy was.
Author's Response: Please don't worry about making guesses re the plot direction - I don't mind at all, and it's all part of the fun! In fact, somebody once made a genius guess about what was going to happen in another story - much better than what I had planned - and I wished I could change it to reflect her theory. I do that from time to time. So guess away!rnrnFlorence and Hunter-Fox are going to have a very illuminating honeymoon - things are going to be different for them by the time they get back to England...

Ooo, I just read nomdeplume’s question and everything is starting to come together. That is SO cool! I didn’t even think of the two Hunter-Foxes looking alike. Yay!
I love how Florence is not really afraid of Lord Hunter-Fox anymore. And I say this because, if she was, she would never have gone behind his back to place the bet. She seems to rather like being naughty and to her, it suits her both ways to be caught and to not be caught. I think that is why she crossed her fingers when His Lordship asked her if she was going to behave. LOL
So in that respect, both Robert and Florence are perfect for each other. This was a fun chapter. I have to laugh how Florence is so annoyed with Tilly.
I am horribly worried about Jessie though. What has happened to her????? You must get back to her story!!!!
Excellent chapter hon!
Author's Response: Yes, you are right - it is starting to become a game for Florence, and she rather enjoys it. Their honeymoon will have a massive effect on the dynamic between them as well.

Florence just can't seem to be a good girl for very long before the "brat" begins to surface again. LOL

Yay! Gosh Lord HF is so rigid. Thanks for another chapter! Any clues as to who is the equerry? (This is a very strange question, but Robert's brother doesn't look like him, does he? ;) )
Author's Response: I can't possibly comment, but I can give you a big wink. Here it is --> ;).

The imagery for the paintings was lovely.
The Vyvyan/Alex/Jessie triangle is a bit of a puzzle. I am curious to see if Jessie is able to find out more about Vyvyan's relationship with Alex.
A cliffy! Grrr.

You always write such beautiful sensual sex between Vyvyan and Jessie. It is almost ethereal. I can just envision Vyvyan’s painting too with the flower petals upon her body and her long red hair.
I am horrified though, to think they have taken her though. I don’t want to see Jessie hurt. I can’t imagine they have good intentions. :(

Ah! Poor, dear Jessie. I knew that he would return for her. What a knave! Such a lovely, sumptuous sex scene though and the flower metaphor was spectacularly done. Vyvyan should mind his tongue though. What a snarky little comment. Thanks for the cliff hanger as well. ;)
Best,
Bea
Author's Response: Bonus points for 'knave' - much underused word, I feel. Thanks!

Well that episode was quite sinister. This Archduke and his cohorts are doing women ill supposedly with their consent. [Shudder.]

Thanks for the reply liberty! Really am hoping it isn't HF! There's still hope right ;) This Archduke business sounds horrible.
I wish things will look up for poor Mols. And more from the Hunter-Fox's please! Excellent story, so engrossing.

Oh Shez, this chapter had me on the edge of my seat. I was so scared for Molly? And who is the equerry? You are hinting that it is Lord Hunter-Fox. Please say it isn’t so? What a horrible thought?
I am glad they just decided to rob them, although I am worried for Molly. I thought that Mary was really selling poor Molly out. I am horrified to think what the Archduke might do to Jessie.
Anyway, this was a scary chapter and now more than ever I must know who the equerry is? I am totally riveted! Excellent writing!

I'm rather confused. The equerry is not Hunter-Fox is it? I hope not. More please!
Author's Response: Can't say yet, but all will be revealed in time...

I have some idea what is going on here, but just in case I'm way off base, I won't say anything. What a frightening chapter! My God, my hand is sore from gripping the mouse so tightly. Wonderful chapter; a real hair-raiser.

Poor Jessie. Sure she gets some peace now but will she be addicted? Will Molly finally get a better life - I rather like her and she seems so innocent and downtrodden? OH HUNTER-FOX action! Nice to seem them being more lovey dovey...will Lord HF be brought down a few rungs by the lady eventually? More from the Hunter-Fox household please! Excellent chapter.

[Report This]Date: Mar 11, 2009 - 03:28 am Title: Dreamers of Dreams
Whenever I think of opium dens, I always think of Sherlock Homes. LOL
I also think of Julie Christie in McCabe and Mrs. Miller, when she pulls out her pipe. Opium must be horribly addicting and you describe it so vividly. I hope Vyvyan doesn’t want to try it again. I think he is on the verge of making it big and his career would go down the drain. I don’t see Jessie wanting to be lured again, not after her scary vision. You always send a chill when you start talking about knives and surgical tables. Eeeek!
It’s nice to see Florence and Robert are getting along so fabulously now. Somehow though, I get the feeling it won’t last for long.
Wonderful chapter hon!

I love love love love love it! I don't know how I've taken so long to discover it but this story is just plain AWESOME. xxx
